Hot Springs and Mountain Views

My sister and I woke up this morning outside Hot Springs, Arkansas.  We did a road trip quite a few years ago, and really enjoyed Hot Springs with all of the little shops and the springs.  It is such a beautiful area, and full of art and inspiration.  We drove into town and had a wonderful breakfast at The Pancake Shop and then, since it was Sunday with no quilt shops nearby open, we walked around town.  What an interesting, artsy city!

From Hot Springs, we took the scenic Route 7 up to Harrison.  What a beautiful drive!  Our big surprise for the day was seeing a town on the map where we thought maybe we could get gas, and getting to it and seeing Population: 466.   There were very few towns on the map, but evidently 466 still qualified.  Thankfully, we were not in dire need of the gasoline!  The views were breathtaking, and it was a beautiful day for it!

At the end of these days, it is hard to believe that it has all happened in just one day.  Tomorrow will be another full day, and hopefully include some quilt shops!
